Three Types of People

As we encounter wise words, we occasionally post them back here. The following was written by Rev. Pascal Crites of Keyser, WV. -Ed.

Here are three  types of people you will encounter during your journey as a Christian and in life:

  1. Confidants

Your closest friends. You can share your heart with these rare but precious treasures. They are FOR you. They will help you in the Kingdom of God. They will lift you up when you are down. They care and love you. They desire your success. David had Jonathon as his “confidant.”

  2. Constituents

They are with you but they are NOT FOR you. They are on your side because you are “for” what they are “for.” However, if you lose step or someone else can further them better, they will leave you and gravitate to them.

  3. Comrades

These people are also with you but NOT FOR you. They side with you because you are against what they are against. They dont care about helping you or lifting you up when you are down, they only care about fighting on your side for a common cause. When the battle is over, so is their association.

Thank God for confidants!
